What Is a Scent Profile?
What Is a Scent Profile?
Definition
A scent profile is the overall mood, feeling, and aromatic direction of a blend. It describes the way all of the aroma notes work together, not just one single ingredient, so you can understand the personality of the scent at a glance.
Why It Matters
Scent profiles help describe how a blend feels in real space, not only how it smells up close from the bottle. They give you language to choose scents that match how you want a room to feel, such as calm, bright, cozy, or deep.
How It Relates to Fragrance and Aroma Families
A scent profile can sit inside a broader fragrance or aroma family, such as woody, citrus, floral, spicy, or resinous. Within that family, the profile narrows in on the specific experience, for example warm and cozy woods, fresh and bright citrus, or deep and resinous botanicals.

How Sfumare Uses This Concept
Each Sfumare diffuser blend is built around a clear scent profile to create an immersive atmosphere in your space. The scent profile helps you quickly understand whether a blend will read as soft and comforting, clean and refreshing, or rich and enveloping once it is in the diffuser.
